TAI Road Trip TAI Road Trip is a traveling assistive technology demonstration lab. It takes assistive technology to special events, rural communities and events that traditionally do not have an assistive technology focus; places where people may not otherwise have the opportunity for hands-on experience with assistive technology.

At Technology and Inclusion our team of assistive technology specialists is lead by Executive Director, Jamie Judd-Wall ATP, who is a nationally certified RESNA Assistive Technology Practitioner (ATP). Other team members include speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, special education teachers, and an educational diagnostician. Each member with the TAI Road Trip has had training and experience in using assistive technology.

Technology and Inclusion is able to set up to 10 demonstration stations with our own computers, adaptive devices and software. The lab may be set up as a workshop with specific training activities, or as a flow-through area, open for the entire duration of an event like a conference or seminar where attendees can try-out various devices and software programs.

Fees for hosting a TAI Road Trip vary depending on the number of stations and type of format you request. An entire 10 station lab with Technology and Inclusion’s computers, access equipment and software is $1,000 per day and may include travel, lodging and per diem expenses for workshops performed outside the greater Austin area. State rates apply for mileage, hotel and meal reimbursement. If you provide the computers and Technology and Inclusion provides the access equipment and software, the fee is $750 per day plus travel expenses if necessary.
