Teaching with Technology©

Have you been frustrated by students:

  • Who won’t use their communication devices?
  • Who echo language but don’t communicate?
  • Who act instead of talking?

Learn proven strategies for success.

Students with severe disabilities can be successful learners. It’s as easy as A, B, C: Activities, Behavior and Communication. When all three program components are blended together, behavior is more easily managed, spontaneous communication is a more frequent occurrence and activities are meaningful and appropriate.

Learn to use visual strategies, communication strategies and targeted teaching in everyday classroom activities. You will see video of classrooms, instructional and communication strategies and get ideas on how to match software to specific instructional activities in programs for students with disabilities and plan the use of assistive technology and augmentative communication in the classroom.
