Vocational Communication Academics Technology (VoCAT)

VoCAT Admission, Tuition and Visiting Requests To be admitted into VoCAT, you must first submit an application form. As the registration date nears, you will be notified to schedule an admission interview at registration. The course(s) chosen are based on the skills reviewed during the admission process so it is important to bring any supporting documents. Payment is also required at registration.

Fall Semester 2008
VoCAT Student Application.

Please note the deadlines at the top of the application. Each class is limited to 10 students per class so please fax or mail your application right away. Once classes are full any remaining applications will be on a waiting list.

The Summer semester starts June 4th and continues through August 8th. Classes are held each Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in 2 hour blocks at the ACC Highland Business Center campus at 5930 Middle Fiskville Road, Austin, Texas 78752.

Tuition and Payment
Tuition for each course varies. Please consult the VoCAT Brochure or visit the Course Descriptions page. You may pay by Cash or Check payable to Technology and Inclusion. We now accept Credit Cards as another payment option. If your tuition has been approved by an agency, organization or other waiver program, your case manager’s signature is required on the application for billing authorization.

Services may be authorized and paid for by any of the following waiver programs:

• Community Living Assistance and Support Services (CLASS)
• Austin Travis County Mental Health Mental Retardation Center (ATCMHMR)
• Bluebonnet Trails Mental Health Mental Retardation Center (BTMHMR)
• Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS)

To find out if you are eligible, please contact your case manager. Individual payment plans are also available with $200 payable at registration (per class) with the remaining balance broken into 2 equal payments due on July 2nd and August 1st. Payment plans should be requested on the application. Tuition covers all other fees and supplies.

Open House and Visiting Requests
For prospective students, we hold an Open House on the ACC campus for the upcoming semester, usually two to three months in advance. We do not have an Open House scheduled just yet. Visit the Special Events page for more details.

Parents, if you are unable to attend the scheduled Open House, you may request a classroom visit by filling out the following document:
